Billie Starkz vs. Kayla Kassidy added to MLW Philly Jan. 7 card

Women’s division showcased at MLW FUSION TV taping

(PHILADELPHIA) — Major League Wrestling today announced Billie Starkz vs. Kayla Kassidy at MLW Blood & Thunder on Saturday, January 7 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

Billie Starkz, one of the most talked about up-and-coming prospects in the sport, steps through the doors of the legendary 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia for the first-time ever on January 7th and makes her Major League Wrestling debut.

A standout star on the independent circuit, Starkz is already 4-year veteran of the squared circle, having debuted in her mid-teens. Fresh off of her first tour of Japan, Starkz’s momentum is at an all-time high as the Louisville native enters the women’s featherweight division.

Across the ring will be yet another MLW debut in the making as Kayla Kassidy steps foot for the first-time ever in an MLW ring January 7. The Paris, KY native has been climbing the Midwest wrestling circuit for the past 3 years, climbing the rankings by putting away several with her signature crossface.

Will Billie rock the house in Philly or will Kayla’s crossface cripple Billie’s meteoric rise in Major League Wrestling?

Lince Dorado vs. DragonGate’s La Estrella set for MLW Philly Jan. 7 card

Lucha Libre vs. Lucharesu at MLW FUSION TV taping

(PHILADELPHIA) — Major League Wrestling today announced Lince Dorado vs. DragonGate’s La Estrella at MLW Blood & Thunder on Saturday, January 7 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

🎟 Tickets start at $15 at MLW2300.com and the 2300 Arena box office.

The card is a FUSION TV taping, airing on beIN SPORTS nationwide on cable and dish, streaming on Pro Wrestling TV, and in over 60 countries around the world.

An inter-promotional middleweight bout promises to steal the show as Lince Dorado squares off against DragonGate’s La Estrella 1-on-1 for the first-time ever.

In a battle that spotlights the high-octane, high-flying aerial thrills of lucha libre and the smash-mouth strong style blend of Japanese wrestling and lucha libre, known as lucharesu, this fight vows to be unlike anything else on the January 7 card.

“I wish to thank Mr. Kido and the DragonGate organization for generously providing MLW and its fans the opportunity to see some of their roster’s most exciting competitors,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer. “Philly fans better buckle up. If you like speedsters in the squared circle, this match is for you.”

La Estrella, who made his MLW debut in June, has spent the year journeying all over the world, from Germany to Mexico, La Estrella has trained with masters of the mat. Now, he looks to take the knowledge he’s accumulated and make a statement with a high-profile victory over Dorado.

Dorado, fresh off a tour for Mexico’s oldest and most respected organization, CMLL, has become a cornerstone of the league’s middleweight division. Now, he must face the lightning speed and hunger of a new era of DragonGate competition.

Which style will prevail? Lucha Libre or Lucharesu?

Mance Warner vs. RSP Hardcore Brawl added to MLW Philly Jan. 7 card

First-time ever encounter signed for MLW FUSION TV taping

(PHILADELPHIA) — Major League Wrestling today announced a Hardcore Match featuring Mance Warner vs. Rickey Shane Page at MLW Blood & Thunder on Saturday, January 7 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

🎟 Tickets start at $15 at MLW2300.com and the 2300 Arena box office.

The card is a FUSION TV taping, airing on beIN SPORTS nationwide on cable and dish, streaming on Pro Wrestling TV, and in over 60 countries around the world.

Barbed Wire City is going extreme as MLW showcases two brawlers and it goes down in the hallowed halls of the cathedral of violence known as the 2300 Arena.

“MLW was built on hardcore brawls during the MLW Underground era,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer. “I think it’s long overdue that we go back to our roots and there’s no one better than Mancer and RSP to take us there.”

Fresh off a successful tour in Japan and the United Kingdom, Rickey Shane Page returns to MLW with this highly anticipated bout. Debuting in Battle RIOT IV, where RSP eliminated a wrestler with an Awesome Bomb through a table to the outside, RSP is a dangerous, versatile combatant.

From inflicting maximum carnage in death matches to taking to the air like a 747, this 6'5" mammoth of the Midwest is a devastating all-around threat in any match.

With signature moves such as the Snap Death Driver and the Rolling Elbow, RSP’s agility and power make him an explosive blend of danger in the squared circle.

On the other side of the ring is the “Southern Psychopath” Mance Warner. Throwing lariats and anything else not nailed down, Ol Mancer is one of MLW’s most enduring and beloved brawlers.

Having battled in bunkhouse matches and barbed wire in MLW, when you enter extreme environments with Ol Mancer, you should prepare an overnight bag for the hospital.

Who will hit the pay window?

Alex Kane vs. Davey Boy Smith Jr. added to MLW Philly Jan. 7 card

First-time ever encounter signed for MLW FUSION TV taping

(PHILADELPHIA) — Major League Wrestling today announced Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs. Alex Kane at MLW Blood & Thunder on Saturday, January 7 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

🎟 Tickets start at $15 at MLW2300.com and the 2300 Arena box office.

The card is a FUSION TV taping, airing on beIN SPORTS nationwide on cable and dish, streaming on Pro Wrestling TV, and in over 60 countries around the world.

In 2019 Davey Boy Smith Jr. teamed up with MLW to reintroduce wrestling’s oldest tournament, the Opera Cup. The antique cup, which was last won by his grandfather, Stu Hart, in 1948, was donated to the league as an old tradition began anew.

Now, the Hart family heirloom and historic wrestling prize has been wrongfully procured by Alex Kane and the Boyame Fight Club.

Ruthlessly beating down the 2021 Opera Cup winner Davey Richards and stealing the trophy, Kane finally revealed he, in fact, was the culprit who stole the coveted 1915 cup.

Over the past few weeks, Kane has taunted the league, showing the Opera Cup damaged at the Bomaye Fight Club gym.

Infuriated by this, Davey Boy Smith Jr., who recently returned to the league, has demanded a match with Kane… and it has been granted!

Will Davey Boy Smith stretch Kane past his pain threshold and make him pay for what he’s done?

Will the “Bomaye Bomber” snap off one of his 100+ suplexes and leave the mighty Bulldog in a heap of misery?

What will be the fate of the historic wrestling relic Opera Cup?

Real1 vs. Microman set for Philly Jan. 7

First-time ever encounter added to MLW FUSION TV taping

(PHILADELPHIA) — Major League Wrestling today announced Real1 vs. Microman (presented by Mister Saint Laurent) at MLW Blood & Thunder on Saturday, January 7 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

🎟 Tickets start at $15 at MLW2300.com and the 2300 Arena box office.

The card is a FUSION TV taping, airing on beIN SPORTS nationwide on cable and dish, streaming on Pro Wrestling TV, and in over 60 countries around the world.

“The World’s Greatest Wonder” versus the “Certified G” will meet for the first time ever in Philadelphia January 7.

The match came about at the insistence of Microman, who lobbied league officials to book the bout. Microman was disrespected by being literally punted by Real1 out of the ring at a critical moment in Battle RIOT IV.

The vicious elimination not only was brutal but cost Microman a coveted opportunity to win the Battle Riot and be granted a title shot anytime, anywhere.

Real1 reportedly has taken exception to Microman being heralded as pound-for-pound the world’s greatest fighter. A dirty boxer and former champion, Real1 has fought around the world and in his mind, is the uncrowned winner of Battle RIOT IV.

“MLW’s new season promised new matches and new rules and it doesn’t get any weirder than this one,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer.

What happens when the Real1 fights the Micro 1?

Davey Richards vs. Johnny Fusion (f/k/a John Morrison National Openweight Title Fight signed for Jan. 7 in Philly
Get tickets at MLW2300.com

Major League Wrestling today announced a National Openweight Championship title fight: Davey Richards (champion) vs. Johnny Fusion (formally known as John Morrison) at MLW Blood & Thunder on Saturday, January 7 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

🎟 Tickets start at $15 at MLW2300.com and the 2300 Arena box office.

The card is a FUSION TV taping, airing on beIN SPORTS nationwide on cable and dish, streaming on Pro Wrestling TV, and in over 60 countries around the world.

For the first time ever Davey Richards and Johnny Fusion will square off and it will go down with Richards' National Openweight Championship on the line.

Richards, who defeated Alex Kane to win the title in New York City, has lowered the draw bridge and crossed over to other promotions defending the title in the NWA and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Now, Richards puts the National Openweight Title up for grabs when he defends against a man he's never fought before in Johnny Fusion.

"The styles of each wrestler makes this title fight a fascinating match-up," said MLW CEO Court Bauer. " The technical excellence of Richards and the aerial blitz and showmanship of Johnny Fusion creates a match that guarantees to be a banger."

John Hennigan — whose surnames also include Morrison, Mundo, and Impact, will bring both substance and style when he steps into the ring on January 7th, competing under the name “Johnny Fusion.”

Will Fusion cement his return to MLW in gold? Or will Richards stack another victory to his list of border-free title defenses?

Major League Wrestling today announced a World Tag Team Championship title fight: Hustle & Power (EJ Nduka & Calvin Tankman) vs. The Samoan SWAT Team at MLW Blood & Thunder on Saturday, January 7 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

🎟 Tickets start at $15 at MLW2300.com and the 2300 Arena box office.

The card is a FUSION TV taping, airing on beIN SPORTS nationwide on cable and dish, streaming on Pro Wrestling TV, and in over 60 countries around the world.

Hustle & Power's near year long reign as the World Tag Team Champions will be tested unlike any other challenger before them when they clash with the Samoan SWAT Team with the belts on the line January 7th.

The championship combination of EJ Nduka and Calvin Tankman has steamrolled over all challengers, from 5150 to the Von Erichs and all teams in-between.

A dominant force of power, uncanny agility and force, Hustle & Power have the opportunity to forever cement their legacy IF they can conquer their next challengers.

However, standing across the ring is another team that has rampaged through the tag team division in the undefeated Samoan SWAT Team.

The original Samoan Swat Team ravaged the tag team circuit in the 1980s and 90s with Samu and Fatu warring with the likes of the Steiner Bros., Von Erichs, Freebirds and countless others as they took the world by storm.

Earlier this year the next generation of one of wrestling’s great tag teams united to rumble with the best and take gold.

The SST features a powerful combo of speed, power and force in Jacob Fatu, Lance Anoa’i and Juicy Finau.

Lance Anoa’i, the son of Samoan Swat Team founding member Samu, grandson of Afa and cousin of The Rock, is a blend of agility and innovation. Teaming with Jacob Fatu over the years, Lance and Fatu are as close as it gets in and away from the ring.

And while Tongans and Samoans have at times been engulfed in their own wars, including possibly a king being eaten during a contentious island conflict, Tongan Juicy Finau is family to Fatu. Super heavyweight Finau and Fatu represent the west coast of the Polynesian family. A proud Tongan with a devastating arsenal that defies and quite possibly breaks gravity, Finau rounds out what could be this decade’s most dangerous and promising team. Indeed, the SWAT stands for Samoan With A Tongan.

Now the stage is set for two undefeated teams to collide with championship gold on the line.

Who will be left standing with the World Tag Team Championship in hand?

The card is a FUSION TV taping, airing on beIN SPORTS nationwide on cable and dish, streaming on Pro Wrestling TV, and in over 60 countries around the world.

For the first time in over 4 years, John Hennigan — whose surnames also include Morrison, Mundo, and Impact, will bring both substance and style when he steps into the ring on January 7th, competing under the name “Johnny Fusion.”

Over the last several years, Johnny Fusion has been busy. From main eventing some of the sport’s biggest events to appearing in SURVIVOR on CBS and starring in Boone: The Bounty Hunter, Johnny Fusion is seemingly ben en fuego.

No stranger to MLW, Johnny Fusion, tore it up against the likes of Shane Strickland, Darby Allin and others in MLW during his last stint. With a reloaded MLW roster featuring the likes of Davey Richards, Alex Hammerstone, Jacob Fatu and many others, expect some dream matches on the horizon.

Perhaps a reunion could be in the mix for Johnny Fusion, who has history with the ruthless Cesar Duran.

Plus, the reigning Women’s World Featherweight Champion Taya Valkyrie happens to be Johnny Fusion’s wife. Could a new power couple be in play in 2023 in MLW?

The scenarios are endless as Johnny Fusion readies to hit the ring in Philadelphia Saturday night, January 7th

See Johnny Fusion Saturday night, January 7th at MLW Blood & Thunder in Philadelphia!
