Lo logró! Aaron Judge llega a los #62 cuadrangulares en la derrota ante los Rangers

    En su 1er turno y ante el lanzador Jesús Tinoco, Aaron Judge conectó su bambinazo #62 en la temporada al enviarla por encima de la valla del jardín izquierdo para darle la ventaja 1-0 a sus Yankees (99-62) de New York. Con su bambinazo #62, rompe la marca de Roger Maris (#61) con más cuadrangulares en una temporada en la Liga Americana. Judge recibió la ovación de los 38,832 que abarrotaron el Globe Life Field en Arlington, Texas. Fue apenas el 3er "sellout" de los Rangers (67-94) en la temporada. Y ese fue el juego 161 de la temporada. Aaron Judge fue reemplazado luego de su 2do turno y nuevamente los presentes volvieron a corear "MVP"y a darle otra ovación. Felicidades a Judge!

    Otro que estableció una marca fue el iniciador Gerrit Cole. Cole, quien terminó a temporada con 257 ponches, rompió la marca de 248 que estableciera Ron Guidry en el 1978 donde ganó el Cy Young. Cole (13-8) cargó con la derrota al permitir 3 carreras limpias, 6 hits y ponchar 9 en 6 entradas. Clarke Schmidt lanzó 2 entradas casi perfectas como relevo de Cole. La otra carrera de los Yankees vino gracias al bambinazo #31 de Giancarlo Stanton en la temporada. Stanton sacó un home run solitario en la parte alta de la 5ta entrada para poner a los Yankees al frente 2-1. 

    Los Rangers lograron empatar 1-1 el juego en la parte baja de la 1era entrada con sencillo remolcador de Adolis García. Marcus Semien, quien anotó la carrera, robó su base #25 y junto con sus #26 bambinazos, se une a García como el primer dúo de Rangers en entrar al club de 25 cuadrangulares y 25 bases robadas en una misma temporada. Leody Tavares fue quien conectó el bateazo clave con un bambinazo de dos carreras en la parte baja de la 5ta entrada para lograr el marcador final de 3-2. Fue su 5to bambinazo de la temporada. Josh Jung bateo un triple en la primera entrada. 

    El relevista Kolby Allard (1-2) se apuntó su primer triunfo de la temporada luego de lanzar 4 sólidas entradas como relevo de Tinoco. Allard ponchó 6. Matt Moore cargó con su 4to salvado de la temporada luego de relevar la excelente labor de Taylor Hearn. Noche histórica en Texas y un segundo juego de una larga jornada que al final vuelve a poner a este servidor en medio de la historia de la MLB.
