Los Warriors le dan paliza a 147-116 a los Mavs

    Los Warriors (12-10) llegaron a Dallas para enfrentar a los Mavericks (9-14), quienes vienen de detener su racha de 6 derrotas seguidas, para una mini serie de dos juegos (jueves 4 y sábado 6). Los Warriors a pesar de no contar con los centros Looney y Wiseman, aparta del multi-usos Paschall, fueron decididos a dominar a unos Mavs que básicamente están con su escuadra completa. El juego comenzó parejo en el 1er parcial, el cual Golden State lo ganó 36-34, y donde básicamente fue un duelo entre Stephen Curry y Luka Doncic. Curry anotó 15 con  3 bombazos en el 1er parcial mientras que Luka anotó 13 con dos bombazos. 

    El 2do parcial fue un duelo entre Jalen Brunson vs Kelly Oubre Jr. Oubre anotó 14 de sus 22 puntos en la 1era mitad en ese parcial, mientras que Brunson anotó 11 de sus 17 puntos. Dallas ganó 42-38 la 1era mitad y contó con 23 puntos de Doncic y 14 de Tim Hardaway Jr. Los Warriors, quienes anotaron 11 bombazos en esa mitad, contaron con 20 puntos de Curry. Dallas ganó la mitad 76-74.

    El 3er parcial fue el principio del fin para los Mavs. Los Warriors ganaron el 3er parcial 36-20 para ir con ventaja 110-96 rumbo a los 12 minutos finales. Kelly Oubre Jr. y Kristaps Porzingis tuvieron su duelo en el 3er parcial. Oubre anotó 10 y Porzingis 15 con 3 bombazos. Oubre Jr. siguió su magistral juego en el 4to parcial con 8 puntos adicionales, incluyemdo dos bombazos, para un total de 40 puntos. Oubre Jr lanzó 10-7 de la línea de tres puntos, recuperó 8 rebotes, se robó una bola y dio un tapón. Los Warriors ganaron la 2da mitad 73-40 y el juego 147-116. Dallas confrontó serios problemas defendiendo la línea de tres puntos al permitirle a los Warriors que lanzaran 43-22 para un 51%. Los Warriors ganaron los rebotes 45-42 y las asistencias 37-26. Draymond Green repartió 15 asistencias y anotó 11 puntos con 6 rebotes. Curry no tuvo ni que sudar en el 4to parcial, terminó con 28 puntos. El mexicano Juan Toscano-Anderson, quién inició el juego, lució enorme con 14 puntos, 8 rebotes, 5 asistencias y 2 tapones. Andrew Wiggins anotó 18 y Damion Lee 17. Warriors lanzaron 89-51 de campo para un 57%.

    Dallas comenzó tirando bien de la línea de tres puntos y finalizaron con 20 en 50 tiros para un 40%. Lanzaron 92-38 para un 41% de campo y 23-20 para un 87% del tiro libre. Doncic tuvo otro buen juego con 27 puntos, 6 rebotes y 6 asistencias mientras que Porzingis aportó 25 con 5 bombazos y 2 tapones. La 3era voz fue Tim Hardaway Jr, viniendo del banco, con 19 puntos, y la 4ta voz fueron los 18 puntos de Brunson. Luego de ellos no hubo mucha producción del resto de ningún lado de la cancha (ofensiva y/o defensiva). Ambos equipos se volverán a ver las caras en el mismo lugar el sábado.

he Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant and the Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James lead their respective conferences in the first fan returns of NBA All-Star Voting 2021 presented by AT&T.  The Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry and the Washington Wizards’ Bradley Beal join Durant and James as the leaders at their respective position groups.

NBA AND NBPA ANNOUNCE COVID-19 TEST RESULTS

NEW YORK, Feb. 3, 2021 – Of the 482 players tested for COVID-19 since Jan. 27, zero new players have returned confirmed positive tests.   

Anyone who has returned a confirmed positive test, or has been identified as having been in close contact to an infected person, is isolated or quarantined until they are cleared under the rules established by the NBA and the Players Association in accordance with CDC guidance. 

 

DETROIT AT DENVER GAME POSTPONED

 

NEW YORK, Feb. 1, 2021 – The National Basketball Association game scheduled for tonight between the Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena has been postponed in accordance with the league’s Health and Safety Protocols. 

 

Because of ongoing contact tracing within the Pistons, the team does not have the league-required eight available players to proceed with tonight’s game against the Nuggets.

View this email in your browser Share Tweet Forward Share FIBA and WABC highlight global basketball trends in latest descriptive analytics report FEBRUARY 3, 2021 MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA Descriptive Analytics Report 2020, developed by FIBA and the World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC), has been published. The report looks into team and individual player analysis at the most recent FIBA events at international level. Through collaboration with the NBA, comparative analysis with WNBA and NBA analytics has also been included. The aim of the report is to provide a broad overview of key performance indicators in the FIBA U17 and U19 Men's and Women's Basketball World Cups, FIBA Senior Men's and Women's Basketball World Cups and Men's and Women's Olympic Basketball Tournaments, as well to offer insights for both senior and junior coaches in developing their athletes and teams to higher levels of competition. Some of the main highlights from the report are as follows: Three-point attempts continue to increase across youth & senior game There has been a growing trend in almost all forms of international competition in regard to the number of three-point attempts per game. There has been a small rise at the Men's Olympics from 22.6 in 2008 to 23.4 in 2016 with the NBA Playoffs now more in line with those numbers having jumped from 14.7 in 2008 to 21.5 in 2016. Both the U19 Men's and Women's World Cups have seen increased numbers of three-point attempts over the last five editions, while the three-point percentage was at its highest at the 2016 Women's Olympics though attempts have fluctuated. More efficient scoring at the elite level The overall eFG percentage, which takes into account the different values of two-point and three-point field goal attempts, at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 was exactly the same as during the 2019 NBA Playoffs, at 50.9 percent having seen minimal differences in favour of the FIBA competition in 2010 and 2014. The overall eFG percentage has also increased at both the Women's Olympics and the WNBA Playoffs with the numbers at its highest in 2016 compared to previous editions in 2008 and 2012. Distribution of points by position is evolving The percentage of points scored by both guards and perimeter players at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup has increased from 33.1 percent in 2010 to 50.5 percent at the recent edition in 2018, while the percentage of points scored by bigs decreased from 66.9 percent to 49.4 percent. While that percentage has been more consistent at the men's FIBA Basketball World Cup, an increase in the percentage of points scored by players in the perimeter positions has also been recorded. In 2019, perimeter players accounted for 28.4 percent of all points scored, up from 17.2 percent in 2010. Emphasis on team basketball and taking care of the ball The number of assists at the Men's Olympics have continued to rise, having increased from 13.4 in 2008 to 17.2 in 2012 and 19.7 in the most recent edition in 2016. Meanwhile, at the FIBA U17 Women's  Basketball World Cup, turnover numbers have fallen with a gradual decrease in each of the past four editions from 20.4 in 2012 to 17.8 in 2018. Rise in the number of close games at the Men's World Cup Of the last three FIBA Basketball World Cups, the 2019 edition saw the highest percentage of close games - decided by six points or less - with 34.9 percent of the 92 total games, whilst also seeing a drop in the percentage of games won/lost by more than 14 points. View this email in your browser Share Tweet Forward Share Groups confirmed for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Basketball Tournaments FEBRUARY 2, 2021 MIES (Switzerland) - The official draw of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Basketball Tournaments for both the women's and men's competitions took place today at FIBA headquarters, the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball. Twenty-four top teams from across the globe, 12 men and 12 women, will go for gold at the Olympics, starting July 25 in Tokyo.  The results of the two draws are: Women's Olympic Basketball Tournament The 12 teams qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Women's Basketball Tournament in February last year through the four FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournaments, which had 16 teams take part in Belgium, France and Serbia. Men's Olympic Basketball Tournament Eight teams at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Men's Basketball Tournament. Teams designated as OQT winner will be those qualifying through the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in Victoria, Canada; Split, Croatia; Kaunas, Lithuania; and Belgrade Serbia from June 29 to July 4, 2021. In both tournaments, a new competition system has been put in place for Tokyo. The Group Phase will consist of three groups of four teams each. The teams placed first and second in each group, and the two best third-placed teams in the Group Phase qualify for the Final Phase. These changes were made to the competition system to bring additional interest to every game of the Group Phase and reduce player workload. The final phases will be played between April 8 and 13 which will have a total of eight games in a single venue to define the champion. The two best teams in each group will qualify for the playoffs. Once the eight teams from the group stage have been confirmed, a draw will be held to define who will play in the Quarterfinals (always placing the 1st team of each group against the runner up of another group) followed by a draw to define the semifinals phase. Both the quarterfinals, the semifinals and the Finals will be a single elimination game. The competition is already underway, with four groups of three teams in each group. The group stage is divided into 3 windows per group (each team hosts a group). Each participant will play a total of six games in this stage, in a bubble format, between January 31 and February 5 (Group Phase 1); from March 4 to 9 (Group Phase 2) and the last from March 24 to 29 (Group Phase 3). ### La BCL Americas tendrá un formato apasionante 3 DE FEBRERO DE 2021 MIAMI (Estados Unidos) - El Board de la Basketball Champions League Americas se reunió y confirmó el sistema para la Fase Final de la segunda temporada.
