NEW YORK CITY (August 27, 2015) - Reigning WBC, Ring Magazine and Lineal Middleweight World Champion Miguel Cotto (40-4, 33 KOs) and former WBC and WBA Super Welterweight World Champion Canelo Alvarez (45-1-1, 32 KOs) were greeted by hundreds of chanting fans as they hosted a press conference in New York City on Wednesday, August 26 as part of their international four-city press tour ahead of their highly anticipated championship showdown in November.

The next mega-fight in the storied Puerto Rico vs. Mexico boxing rivalry will take place Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View. At the New York City press conference held at the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel, Cotto, the first native of Puerto Rico to become world champion in four different weight classes, and Mexican superstar Alvarez were joined by their promoters and trainers to discuss what promises to be this year’s most epic battle.

Tickets for the mega fight are on sale now and are priced at $2,000, $1,750, $1,250, $650, $350 and $150, not including applicable service charges, and can be purchased at the Mandalay Bay box office, ticketmaster.com, mandalaybay.com, all Ticketmaster locations or by calling (800) 745-3000.  Ticket orders are limited to four per person.

          ¡Que le hagan la estatua a Seth Rollins! Un lleno a capacidad Barclays Center en Brooklyn, New York fueron testigos del crecimiento del futuro de la WWE. Seth Rollins derrotó a John Cena, gracias a la intervención del host especial John Stewart, para convertirse en campeón de USA y retener su faja máxima de la WWE. El ahora doble campeón aprovechó un sillazo de Stewart a Cena para aplicarle un Pedigree y alzarse con el triunfo. Fue una excelente lucha con interesante final, destacando los falsos finales, la nueva vestimenta de Rollins y las buenas movidas de ambos. Cena sigue luciendo mejor que antes desde que se coronó campeón de USA.
          El evento tuvo un buen arranque con la batalla entre Randy Orton y Sheamus. Estos dos nunca defraudan y empezar un SummerSlam con ellos fue un acierto. Sheamus se alzó con el triunfo con su Brogue Kick. Una de las mejores luchas de la noche y que logró los gritos de ¡This is awesome! de los presentes fue el Fatal 4 Way por los campeonatos en pareja de la WWE. Hay que decir que Titus O’Neill de los Prime Time Players se la comió, pero las cuatro parejas dejaron todo en el ring. New Day recuperó las fajas en pareja al vencer a los Prime Time Players, Lucha Dragons y Los Matadores. Dolph Ziggler con Lana se medió ante Rusev con Summer Rae en una lucha no muy buena fuera de la pelea entre las damas. Bonito atuendo el de Lana, posible lo mejor de la lucha que terminó con doble descualificación por conteo afuera del ring.
          El actor Stephen “The Green Arrow” Amell sorprendió a muchos con sus habilidades dentro del ring al unirse con Neville para vencer a Stardust y King Barrett. Amell se tiró a las afueras y todo, Neville logró el triunfo con su impresionante Red Arrow. Ryback lució dominante de nuevo al retener su faja Intercontinental ante The Miz y Big Show. Los grandes fueron los que lucieron con movidas aéreas y The Miz con sus clásicos intentos de robarse el triunfo. Ryback aprovechó que Show le propinó KO a Miz para alzarse con el triunfo. Roman Reigns y Dean Ambrose derrotó a The Wyatt Family en otro buen encuentro. Aun no entiendo los abucheos de los presentes hacia Roman Reigns, creo que ya son exagerados pues al final no ganó el campeonato en WrestleMania y es falso el decir que todo se lo han dado fácil en comparación a otros luchadores. Veremos si la WWE hace algo sólido para volver a darle un buen push.
          Las cuatro horas de SummerSlam continuó con un sólido encuentro, posiblemente el mejor de la noche, entre Kevin Owens y Cesaro. Estos dos se lucieron dentro del ring y demostraron su calidad una vez más. Owens se apuntó la victoria con su Pop-Up Powerbomb. Otro buen encuentro fue el Divas Elimination Match entre los grupos PCB, Team BAD y el Bella Army. Las nenas se botaron sobre todo con sus lances a las afueras. PCB se alzó con el triunfo al Becky Lynch planchar a Brie Bella.

          La estelar tuvo un final devastadoramente negativo. La batalla que fue llamada como tan grande para un WrestleMania, se quedó chiquita con su pobre final. La pelea entre Undertaker y Brock Lesnar prometía mucho en su comienzo cuando se basó en intercambios de Suplex y F5 por Powerbomb y Chokeslam. Taker buscaba desquitarse la derrota que sufrió en WrestleMania 30, donde perdió su invicto en el evento grande de WWE. Pero el final, deslució el evento como tal. Cuando Lesnar le aplicaba un Kimura a Taker, milagrosamente sonó la campana y pararon de luchar. La confusión abordo a los presentes, lo que aprovechó Taker para un golpe bajo y aplicar su llama de sumisión Hell’s Gate. Lesnar se fue 10-7 al no querer rendirse. Taker logró la victoria. La confusión fue peor aun cuando al ver el replay se puede observar que Taker se rindió en el Kimura y el árbitro no se dio ni cuenta. Lo que no entiendo es que si Taker iba a ganar como quiera por que no ganar limpio y entonces preparar una tercera lucha donde pusieran el retiro o algo parecido como apuesta. Algo le falló en el libreto de esta lucha a la WWE.
