In
his article about "players
who deserve more hype", Seth Greenberg of ESPN.com lists guard Olivier
Hanlan of Boston College. In the
article, the former college coach said "Hanlan has emerged as one of the
best guards in the ACC. He closed out his freshman season by dropping 41 points
in a win against Georgia Tech in the opening round of the ACC tournament and
built on that performance his sophomore season. Hanlan shot 34.7 percent from
deep and got to the line seven times a game.
At 6-4, he’s a tall guard who plays at his own pace. He does an
excellent job of changing speed and direction and uses his size to shoot over
the defense. He’s patient coming off screens and is hard to defend off ball
screens. Eagles coach Jim Christian is expected to use him both on and off the
ball."
