HISTORY AT NO. 1: The Arizona Cardinals selected quarterback KYLER MURRAY with the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, joining BAKER MAYFIELD (Cleveland, 2018) and SAM BRADFORD (St. Louis Rams, 2010) as Oklahoma quarterbacks to be selected No. 1 overall. This marks the second time in the common-draft era that a school has produced the No. 1 pick in consecutive NFL Drafts. Pro Football Hall of Famers RON YARY (1968) and O.J. SIMPSON (1969) were selected first overall out of the University of Southern California in consecutive years.
With Murray’s selection, this also marks the third time in the common draft era in which Heisman Trophy winners have gone No. 1 overall in consecutive drafts (SAM BRADFORD and CAM NEWTON in 2010-11; BO JACKSON and VINNY TESTAVERDE in 1986-87).
TOP-TEN QBS: Oklahoma quarterback KYLER MURRAY (No. 1, Arizona) and Duke quarterbackDaniel Jones (No. 6, New York Giants) were each top-ten selections in 2019. UPDATED LIST OF NFL LEGENDS AND ACTIVE PLAYERS SCHEDULED TO ANNOUNCE 2019 NFL DRAFT SELECTIONS
In the NFL’s continuing effort to connect the game’s greats with the next generation of stars, NFL Legends and active players will add to the excitement of the 2019 NFL Draft by announcing various selections and participating in festivities in Nashville.
Pro Football Hall of Famer and the 1979 NFL Man of the Year JOE GREENE will announce the Pittsburgh Steelers 2019 NFL Draft Round 1 selection.
Round 2 Draft selections will be announced by previous NFL club first-round picks, while Round 3 will be announced by players who were drafted in later rounds. Players will represent their clubs regardless of whether the team possesses a Round 2 or Round 3 pick.
In addition to announcing NFL Draft selections, players are on-site to mentor the Draft prospects and give back to the city of Nashville through a variety of service-driven events to celebrate this momentous occasion as the NFL commemorates its 100th season.
On Tuesday, April 23, NFL Legends MARK BRUNELL, TRENT DILFER, MAURICE JONES-DREW, JORDAN PALMER, CHAD PENNINGTON, MICHAEL ROBINSON, and BOBBY TAYLOR led breakout sessions for 200 high school student-athletes to discuss important values on and off the field, the role of athletes in the community and career opportunities in the sports industry. As part of the NFL Legends Youth Advisory Committee, these players will generate inspiring conversations with youth and high school football communities about the values learned from playing football.
Prior to the Draft on Thursday, April 25, NFL Legends led middle school participants in an hour-long clinic focusing on fundamental football drills, skills and technique at the Play Football Legends Clinic.

Beginning on Saturday, April 27th at 12:00 PM ET, NFL teams will announce their Day 3 selections for Rounds 4 through 6 of the 2019 NFL Draft from special local locations of their choosing. Clubs will make their picks from across the country and around the world, including military bases, state landmarks, and major attractions.
To honor the NFL's 100th season, Round 6 will also highlight the League's 13 "Original Towns," and with that, its 14 charter teams. To do so, select pick announcements on Day 3 will be coming from these historic cities.
All picks in Round 7 will be made on-site in Nashville by local fans.
Here is a sampling of special team announcements during Day 3 of the NFL Draft:
- ARIZONA CARDINALS: Picks will be announced from the famed O.K. CORRAL in Tombstone, Arizona.
- BUFALLO BILLS: In celebration of the League's 100 season, the team is partnering with ROCHESTER, NY, one of the NFL's Original Towns
- CLEVELAND BROWNS: Former Browns players will make picks from the ROCK and ROLL HALL OF FAME.
- DENVER BRONCOS: Draft picks will be announced at the WINTER PARK SKI MOUNTAIN.
- DETROIT LIONS: Team selections will be announced from the HENRY FORD MUSEUM OF AMERICAN INNOVATION in Dearborn, Michigan.
- LOS ANGELES CHARGERS: Picks will be made internationally from MEXICO CITY
- LOS ANGELES RAMS: The team will showcase their NEW STADIUM CONSTRUCTION SITE in Los Angeles, CA
- NEW YORK GIANTS: Draft pick announcements to be made by children from the"MAKE-A-WISH" CASTLE in Monroe, New Jersey.
- NEW YORK JETS: Picks will be made by Black Knights parachuting into the WEST POINT MILITARY BASE.
- OAKLAND RAIDERS: The team will showcase their NEW STADIUM CONSTRUCTION SITE in Las Vegas, NV

The NFL today announced the NFL Legends Youth Advisory Committee to assist and guide efforts to preserve and grow youth & high school football through peer-to-peer engagement.
NFL Legends MARK BRUNELL, TRENT DILFER, MAURICE JONES-DREW, WILLIE McGINEST, JORDAN PALMER, CHAD PENNINGTON, MICHAEL ROBINSON, DEION SANDERS and BOBBY TAYLOR will generate inspiring conversations with youth and high school football communities about the values learned from playing football.
"These NFL Legends are dedicated to the love of the game, the values it transfers to life, and to serving communities by sharing their experience and knowledge with parents, coaches and players," said TROY VINCENT, NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations. "They are champions of growing youth and high school football – stressing values, playing technique and player protection."
At Play Football Draft High School Day in Nashville TN., the committee led breakout sessions for 200 high school student-athletes to discuss important values on and off the field, the role of athletes in the community and career opportunities in the sports industry.
Participating high schools in the Nashville area included Fairview, Gallatin, Hunters Lane, Oakland, Overton, Ravenwood, Stratford and Whites Creek.
MARK BRUNELL: Brunell enjoyed a 19-year NFL playing experience, highlighted by his nine seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars where he was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and holds the franchise record for passing yards, touchdown passes and 300-yard games. He also played for the Green Bay Packers, Washington Redskins, New Orleans Saints and New York Jets and was a member of New Orleans' Super Bowl XLIV winning team. Brunell remains active in the football community, currently serving as the head coach for the Episcopal School of Jacksonville.
TRENT DILFER: A native of California, Dilfer was the sixth overall pick in the 1994 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A Pro Bowler in 1997, Dilfer played 14 seasons and was the winning quarterback in Super Bowl XXXV with the Baltimore Ravens. He then became an analyst for NFL Network and ESPN. He is currently the head coach of Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.
MAURICE JONES-DREW: Jones-Drew, the Jacksonville Jaguars' second-round selection and 60th overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, was a three-time Pro Bowl running back. In 2009, he established the Maurice Jones-Drew Foundation to assist youth organizations. While playing, he routinely hosted football camps for youth in Jacksonville and in his hometown of Antioch, California. Jones-Drew became an analyst for NFL Network and is currently a color analyst for the Los Angeles Rams.
WILLIE McGINEST: A two-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time Super Bowl champion, McGinest was a vital member of the New England Patriots dynasty of the early 2000s. His 15-year NFL playing experience was highlighted by his 12 seasons with New England, where he recorded an NFL-record 16 postseason sacks, including a single-game playoff record 4.5 sacks in the Patriots' 2005 AFC Wild Card game. McGinest, who finished with the Cleveland Browns, currently serves as an analyst for the NFL Network. McGinest is the founder of the Willie McGinest Freedom School, a non-profit foundation that provides social and cultural enrichment for at-risk youth.
JORDAN PALMER: Palmer was selected in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins. While at the University of Texas at El Paso, Palmer threw for 11,084 yards with 88 touchdowns, both ranking second on the school's all-time list. He spent time with four NFL teams (Cincinnati Bengals, 2008-10; Jacksonville Jaguars, 2012; Chicago Bears, 2013; Tennessee Titans, 2014). Thereafter, Jordan began working as a quarterbacks coach. Prior to the 2018 NFL Draft, he mentored first-round picks Sam Darnold (New York Jets) and Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills).
CHAD PENNINGTON: A first-round draft pick of the New York Jets in 2000, Pennington enjoyed an 11-year NFL playing experience with the Jets and Miami Dolphins. The Marshall University graduate is the only player in league history to win the AP NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award twice, doing so in 2006 and 2008, when he also finished second in MVP voting. Pennington is the Co-Executive Director of the NFL Legends Community and created the 1st and 10 Foundation in 2003, which works to help build stronger communities and improve quality of life. Pennington currently serves as the Director of Football Operations at the Sayre School in Lexington, KY, where he has assisted in reviving a high school football program that had been dormant since 1976. Pennington has also served in youth and middle school football as both a coach and administrator.
MICHAEL ROBINSON: Robinson was the 100th overall selection in the 2006 NFL Drafted by the San Francisco 49ers. Robinson, a Penn State graduate, was the first Nittany Lion to throw for over 2,000 yards and rush for over 500 yards in the same season. He wrapped up his eight-years in the NFL playing for the San Francisco 49ers (2006-09) and Seattle Seahawks (2010-13). Robinson was a 2011 Pro Bowler and Super Bowl Champion with the Seattle Seahawks after they defeated the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII. Robinson became an analyst for NFL Network. In 2010, he founded Excel to Excellence, a charity that encourages youth to excel in school and society.
DEION SANDERS: Recognized as one of the most prolific defensive players in NFL history, Deion Sanders was selected fifth overall by the Atlanta Falcons in the 1989 NFL Draft. During his 14-years in the NFL, Sanders played for the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens. He was recognized as the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1994 and is the all-time leader with 19 defensive and return touchdowns. Sanders was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011, selected to the Pro Bowl eight times and is a two-time Super Bowl Champion. After football, Sanders pursued a career in broadcasting, where he is currently an analyst for CBS Sports and NFL Network. He also currently serves as the offensive coordinator at Trinity Christian-Cedar Hill High School, where his sons attend.
BOBBY TAYLOR: Bobby Taylor was a second-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in the 1995 NFL Draft. A Texas native, Taylor was the first player in Longview (Texas) High School history to have his jersey retired. In 2012, he was inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame. Taylor enjoyed 10 years with the Eagles (1995-2003) and the Seattle Seahawks (2004). For the last nine years, Taylor has hosted the Fun Camp (Fundamentals of Football) alongside former Eagles teammate N.D. Kalu in Houston, TX, where they have coached thousands of kids ages 6-16. In 2013, Taylor started the BT Defensive Backs Skills & Athlete Training operated at Zoe's Sports Performance in Richmond, TX.

'Huddle for 100' kicks off at the 2019 NFL Draft with 'Huddle Against Hunger'
In the lead up to the 2019 NFL DRAFT in Nashville, April 25-27, the NFL will host a series of fan-focused and service driven events to celebrate this momentous occasion during the League's centennial season.
From statewide efforts to fight hunger, to youth football clinics and character-building initiatives, to military appreciation, the NFL will leave a lasting, positive legacy in Nashville and throughout Tennessee. In addition, thousands of local children and their families will experience the excitement of Draft.
Throughout the week, prospects, players, and NFL Legends will participate in events designed to give back to the community. Kicking off the week is HUDDLE AGAINST HUNGER where they'll partake in a series of activities centered on fighting hunger and making a lasting impact throughout the state of Tennessee .Additionally, they'll join local youth in Nashville and surrounding areas for various football clinics, and on Wednesday, April 24, the NFL, Tennessee Titans, and Special Olympics will host a Unified Flag Football game bringing together individuals with and without intellectual disabilities to play on the same team through the NFL PLAY 60 initiative.
Fans may take part in free activities throughout Draft week at NFL DRAFT EXPERIENCEPRESENTED BY OIKOS® TRIPLE ZERO. The three-day football festival will be held outside of Nissan Stadium from Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27. This year's NFL Draft Experience will be the largest NFL Draft festival footprint to date, and in recognition of Music City, will be the first to integrate a free live music concert series, featuring 20 Nashville-based artists of all genres. Fans will be able to participate in interactive exhibits, immersive games, virtual reality experiences, free player autograph sessions, and more.
During the Draft, the NFL will highlight several of its nonprofit partners. KYREE HUGGINS, a high school student from South Carolina, will serve as the FUEL UP TO PLAY 60 Student Reporter. He will have the opportunity to cover the Red Carpet and press conferences with prospects after they've been drafted. MAKE-A-WISH kid KACEY will have his wish granted when he joins COMMISSIONER GOODELL on the Draft Main Stage to announce the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Round 1 pick. As part of the League's SALUTE TO SERVICEprogram, active duty service members and veterans will be honored and welcomed at the NFL Draft as well. On Thursday evening, a color guard from the U.S. ARMY RECRUITING BATTALION NASHVILLE and veterans from WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT will join talent onstage during the National Anthem to open the Draft.

The free three-day football festival will be held outside of Nissan Stadium where, among many activities and attractions, fans of all ages will be able to participate in interactive exhibits, immersive games, virtual reality experiences, free player autograph sessions, and more. Huddle Against Hunger
Huddle Against Hunger marks the official launch of the NFL's Huddle for 100 campaign and will run throughout the 2019 Draft week in Nashville, Tennessee. Huddle Against Hunger will bring together the Titans organization, Draft prospects, players, fans, and community partners for a series of activities including a state-wide food drive and a food packing event. Each activity is centered on fighting hunger and making a lasting impact throughout the state of Tennessee.
- Huddle Against Hunger, Jefferson Street Bridge Event: The NFL and the Tennessee Titans will join THE BRIDGE MINISTRY under the Jefferson Street Bridge on Tuesday, April 23 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM CT, where they will serve hot meals to homeless men, women and children. Titans players, Legends and cheerleaders will volunteer at the event, spend time with the guests and help facilitate a PLAY 60 zone for the children on site.*
- Huddle Against Hunger, Backpack Assembly with NFL Draft Prospects: On Wednesday, April 24, at Nissan Stadium from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM CT, the NFL, in partnership with SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE and The Bridge Ministry, will bring together NFL Draft prospects and 500 volunteers to assemble 8,000 food kits for children who qualify for hunger relief programs throughout Tennessee. NFL Commissioner ROGER GOODELL, Nashville MayorDAVID BRILEY, and co-host of 3HL on 104.5-FM The Zone DAWN DAVENPORT will kick off the event and welcome students from FAIRVIEW HIGH SCHOOL who won the NASHVILLE & MIDDLE TENNESSEE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL FOOD DRIVE COMPETITION, donating 5,915 items. To support the initiative, NFL sponsors, Campbell's Chunky Soup and Frito-Lay have donated products and will be present at the event.
- Huddle Against Hunger, Bridge to Kids Backpack Delivery: Utilizing the backpacks packed during the Backpack Assembly event, NFL players and Legends will deliver the backpacks to partner schools through the Bridge Ministry's BRIDGE TO KIDSprogram on Friday, April 26, from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM CT. The Bridge to Kids program delivers food-filled backpacks to schools and after-school programs to children whose families qualify for free and assisted lunch programs. Each qualifying child receives a take home pack for the weekend with enough nonperishable goods to supply their nutritional needs. The NFL players and Legends will deliver backpacks to kids at both NAPIER ELEMENTARY and SHWAB ELEMENTARY.*
- Huddle Against Hunger, Statewide Food Drive // Draft Experience: Starting Monday, April 22 and concluding Wednesday May 5, Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, along with Tennessee's 4 additional Feeding America food banks, in conjunction with the NFL will run a food drive across the state of Tennessee to expand on localized efforts around hunger relief. Tennessee residents will be able to donate food items by dropping them off at designated locations. The NFL and Second Harvest Food Bank are also partnering with local Nashville businesses, restaurants, bars, and venues to further hunger relief efforts and encourage them to join a city-wide food drive. Fans will be able to participate in the food drive in Nashville at Draft Experience by using the Fan Mobile Pass. The NFL is encouraging fans to bring non-perishable food items to donate and drop them in the Second Harvest Food Bank donation barrels located at Entrances A and B of the NFL Draft Experience. Fans can their QR code at the drop off locations after donating and be entered to win NFL prizes.

Play Football Draft High School Day
To assist preparing high school student-athletes for their transition into college and beyond, the NFL and Tennessee Titans will host 200 high school athletes at Play Football High School Day. Hosted at Nissan Stadium on Tuesday, April 23 at 3:00 PM CT, this event will consist of a forum featuring NFL executives, current NFL players and NFL Legends. Moderators will lead breakout sessions with participants discussing important values on and off the field, the role of athletes in the community and career opportunities in the sports industry. Play Football Legends Clinic
The Play Football Legends Clinic will be held on Thursday, April 25 at the Play Football Field at NFL Draft Experience. NFL Legends, along with 2019 NFL Draft Prospects and USA Football coaches, will lead middle school participants in an hour-long clinic focusing on basic football drills, skills and techniques.
Youth Football Clinics
Children in Nashville and surrounding areas are invited to take part in free, public non-contact football clinics that will take place at the Play Football Field at NFL Draft Experience presented by Oikos® Triple Zero on April 25-27. These 30-minute clinics are open to boys and girls ages 6-17.

Special Olympics Unified Flag Football Game
The NFL, Tennessee Titans, and Special Olympics will host a Unified Flag Football Game on Wednesday, April 24 from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM CT at Lot R North near Nissan Stadium. The NFL and Special Olympics are committed to building inclusive communities and providing opportunities for athletes of all abilities to participate in sports through Unified flag football, where individuals with and without intellectual disabilities play flag football together on the same team.
Fuel Up to Play 60 Clinic
On Thursday, April 25 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM CT, at Lot R North near Nissan Stadium, Fuel Up to Play 60 will bring together 100 local students to participate in a PLAY 60 Football Clinic. Fuel Up to Play 60 is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by the National Dairy Council and the NFL, in collaboration with the USDA, to help encourage kids to lead healthier lives.
Fuel Up to Play 60 NFL Draft Student Reporter
KYREE HUGGINS, a high school student at from South Carolina, will serve as the Fuel Up to Play 60 (FUTP 60) Student Reporter at the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville. Huggins will have the opportunity to cover the Red Carpet and access press conferences with prospects after they've been drafted.
Kyree is one of the winners of the Youth Talks at the 2018 Fuel Up to Play 60 Student Ambassador Summit and represented the Fuel Up to Play 60 program at the 2018 GENYOUth Gala. Kyree has recently been elected to the FUTP 60 Youth Council and will be a student leader at the 2019 Fuel Up to Play 60 Student Ambassador Summit taking place in July. An active member in his community, Kyree started a Walking Club at his high school and serves as the Senior Director of Fuel Up to Play 60, which includes the responsibility of making connections with other school leaders to expand the program in his area.
New Era Hand the Cap
To continue the celebration of youth and high school football, on Thursday, April 25, ten student athletes from local Nashville high schools will take the Draft Stage to participate in handing the cap to 2019 NFL Draft Prospects after they are selected by their respective teams.
Thank You, Coach
For the second year, NFL Draft Prospects will have the opportunity to say, "Thank You, Coach" to the high school coach who most impacted their life and path to the NFL.
Coaches will receive a behind the scenes tour of the NFL Draft, have a chance to attend the Prospect Family Brunch as well as witness their former athletes join the NFL family during Day One of the NFL Draft.
NFL Draft Picks
Make-A-Wish: Make-A-Wish kid KACEY will have his wish granted when he joins NFL Commissioner ROGER GOODELL on the Draft stage to announce the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Round 1 pick. A lifelong Buccaneers fan, Kacey, 19, from Maysville, Georgia, is currently battling Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Kacey was surprised by his favorite Buccaneer's player MIKE EVANS, who notified him through a video message that he would be making the Round 1 pick on stage for the Buccaneers at this year's Draft.
Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS): The NFL has teamed with the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) to honor the Gilbert family and their fallen hero, U.S. Navy Lieutenant WILLIAM GILBERT, from Medina, Tennessee. USN LT Gilbert was a Tennessee Titans fan and in his honor Gilbert's wife, two sons and sister will accompany Tennessee Titans Legend, EDDIE GEORGE, onstage to announce the Titans' Round 2 pick on Friday, April 26. In addition, active duty service members from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps will be honored on stage during Round 3 of the Draft.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®: On Friday, April 26, St. Jude patient OWEN will join Seattle Seahawks Legend SHAUN ALEXANDER onstage at the Draft to make the Seahawks' Round 3 pick. Owen is in remission from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, which he was diagnosed with at four years old, but today he is extremely active—running cross country, playing football, basketball and soccer. On Saturday, April 27, St. Jude's will have patient SAMANTHA, who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in 2005, make a Round 7 pick for her favorite team, the Cleveland Browns. St. Jude hero and St. Jude Rock 'n' Roll Nashville Marathon team captain and Nashville radio personality, AMY PAIGE, will be making a Round 7 Pick for the Detroit Lions.
Youth athletes: Twelve student athletes from Metro Nashville Public School will take the stage alongside Commissioner ROGER GOODELL to announce the Tennessee Titans' Round 1 pick. On Friday, April 26, student athletes from both private schools in Tennessee and Metro Nashville Public Schools will join Tennessee Titans' 2018 Walter Payton Man of the Year, JURRELL CASEY, to announce the Round 3 selection for the Titans.
Sounds of Social Justice
On Wednesday, April 24, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM CT, presented by The National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM), Sounds of Social Justice will be a fundraising event focused on the intersection of music, athletes and activism at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel. There will be a red-carpet experience with players and celebrities with a cocktail reception, followed by a panel discussion and then musical performances.
MICHAEL ERIC DYSON, Georgetown University professor, activist, media personality and author, will moderate the panel with the Philadelphia Eagles' MALCOLM JENKINS, who is the co-founder of Players Coalition, a nonprofit organization dedicated to impact racial and social inequality, Tennessee Titans' player DERRICK MORGAN and DR. DINA BENNETT, senior curator for NMAAM. Following the panel will be a live auction featuring artwork focused on the music and artists of the social justice movement and a curated exhibit of artifacts. The night will conclude with a musical performance by Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter and national chair of NMAAM, INDIA.ARIE, local soul singer JASON ESKRIDGE, and local female R&B trio THE SHINDELLAS.

Café Momentum: A Recipe for Change Dinner
NFL Legend SHAUN ALEXANDER will co-host a pop-up dinner event with Café Momentum, a Dallas non-profit restaurant and culinary training program serving young men and women in the juvenile justice system, at First Tennessee Park on Wednesday, April 24 at 6:00 PM CT. NFL Legends and local Nashville influencers will come together in support of raising awareness and creating advocacy for juvenile offenders and be treated to a three-course dinner from Café Momentum's team of award-winning chefs. Ten young men currently in the Nashville juvenile justice system will train with Café Momentum and NFL Legends from April 22-23 to help to prepare and serve the dinner.
Pro Football Hall of Fame Youth Summit in Nashville
Centene Corporation, the Official Youth Wellness Partner of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, will host its 13th Strong Youth Strong Communities (SYSC) Summit at Tennessee State University's Floyd-Payne Campus Center on Saturday April, 27 from 8:30 AM – 1:45 PM CT. Founded by Pro Football Hall of Famer DARRELL GREEN in 2015, SYSC is focused on equipping our youth with life skills, resources, and leadership-focused mentoring to maximize potential, promote active thinking, sound judgement and connect them with thought leaders committed to developing youth leaders.
The free summit, led by Pro Football Hall of Famers DARRELL GREEN, BRUCE MATTHEWSand AENEAS WILLIAMS will be open to all middle and high school students in the Nashville area. Green, Moss and Williams will be joined at the summit by IMAN MCFARLAND, COO 21st Century Expo Group, along with various other community leaders, mentors and health experts, to lead discussions on topics such as bullying and self-esteem. Partners include National Urban League, Big Brothers Big Sisters, National Council for Mental Illness, Sandy Hook Promise, National Youth Council, Beyond Differences and Peace First.
NFL Green
NFL Green will have a large footprint at this year's Draft, while also highlighting fans and community members who are doing their part to create a cleaner planet.
- Local Artist Exhibit Gallery: The NFL is partnering with Turnip Green, a local art and education organization, to create a gallery of artworks which will be on display at Draft Experience. All the featured artwork will be made by local professional and student artists and created from recycled materials.
- Recycle and Win: The "Recycle and Win" project will catch fans in the act of recycling on the Draft Experience site. Members of the NFL Green Team will award these fans with a unique NFL Draft cap and an opportunity to have their picture displayed on NFL Green social media as a recycling champion. Photos of the recycling champion fans will be displayed on video monitors throughout the Draft Experience.
- Lowe's Picnic Table Donation: In partnership with the NFL on Monday, April 22, over 40 Lowe's associates from the Nashville region will help build picnic tables to be used at the NFL Draft Experience. Following the Draft, these picnic tables will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville as well as Metro Nashville Public Schools. Lowe's is making this donation as part of its focus on meeting critical community needs aligned with safe, affordable housing and education in the skilled trades.
- Urban Forestry Event: The NFL and key sponsors Verizon, Bridgestone and Lowe's will be joined by MAYOR DAVID BRILEY, city officials and the Root Nashville tree project team for a tree planting event on Tuesday, April 23 at 9:45 AM CT at the Hull Jackson Montessori School in North Nashville. There will be 40 trees planted at that school and the nearby John Early Museum Magnet School. These trees will help shade the campus, reduce the "heat island" impact, improve air quality and help increase a sense of community in this newly established neighborhood.
- NFL Nashville Community Greening: Three additional projects are planned as part of the NFL Community Greening initiative in Nashville. Working in partnership with Verizon, Bridgestone and Lowe's, the NFL is joining Root Nashville and the city of Nashville to plant trees in the Mill Ridge neighborhood of the city. The other two projects, sponsored by Verizon, will plant seedlings to reforest areas in need of trees. One will restore the floodplain located at Gibson Creek to help control flooding impact in nearby neighborhoods and the final project will be at another site in Henderson County, where Verizon will be planting 2,560 trees. There will be ten trees planted in honor of each player selected at the 2019 NFL Draft and an additional 100 trees will be planted by NFL Green in honor of the league's centennial season.
Other environmental initiatives at the 2019 NFL Draft include solid waste recycling and composting throughout the Draft Experience, donation of prepared and nonperishable food from NFL Draft events, collection and donation for reuse of all available event materials to local nonprofits and the use of renewable energy certificates to "green" the energy usage at Draft event venues.

Sixwire Added to NFL Draft Main Stage as First House Band to Perform in Between Draft Picks
Lindsay Ell, Mez, Ryan Hurd, TSU Aristocrat of Bands Added to Music Lineup with Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley, Cece Winans as Part of More Than 20 Nashville-Based Acts – From Country, Rock, Pop, Americana, Blues and More – to Perform at Free NFL Draft Experience
NASHVILLE – The NFL and the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp today announced that MOON TAXI, an indie-alternative rock band founded and based in Nashville, will kick off the 2019 NFL Draft Experience with a free performance on the Draft Main Stage on Thursday, April 25. The performance is part of the 2019 NFL Draft Experience – a free three-day football festival, held outside of Nissan Stadium, that will feature a variety of activities for fans of all ages.
The artists announced today are part of the lineup of more than 20 Nashville-based acts representing diverse genres of music that will perform during the three days of free activities at the NFL Draft Experience Presented by Oikos® Triple Zero. They include country music singer-songwriter LINDSAY ELL, who will open for Dierks Bentley on Saturday, April 27. Country singer-songwriter RYAN HURD will play on April 27 as St. Jude Rock 'n' Roll Nashville® Marathon & ½ Marathon runners cross the finish line and join the Draft activities outside of Nissan Stadium. Hip hop artist MEZ has also been added to the Thursday lineup at the Draft Experience Stage. The critically acclaimed band SIXWIRE will be the first ever house band to provide entertainment between Draft selections on Thursday, April 25 and Friday, April 26. The Tennessee State University (TSU) "The Aristocrat of Bands" marching show band will also perform during the NFL Draft Red Carpet at The Green at Riverfront Park on Thursday, April 25. GRAMMY-winning gospel music great CECE WINANS will sing the National Anthem to help open the Draft on Thursday, April 25.
The 2019 NFL Draft will feature a free concert each night with headlining performances on the Draft Main Stage by GRAMMY-winner TIM MCGRAW on Friday, April 26, and multi-platinum singer/songwriter DIERKS BENTLEY on Saturday, April 27, as previously announced.
In addition to the concert series, Downtown Nashville's Lower Broadway and the area outside Nissan Stadium will host free public activities during the three days of the 2019 NFL Draft for all fans. These exciting events include autograph signings with current NFL players and NFL Legends, interactive games, Play Football clinics, and Look Like a Pro where fans can have their picture taken with a Draft day jersey of their favorite NFL team.

Second Season of 'Thursday Night Football' Across FOX, NFL Network & Amazon Prime Video
NFL Network to Exclusively Televise Seven Games, Including Two 'Thursday Night Football' Games, Two International Series Games & Week 16 Tripleheader
NFL Network and FOX announced the 2019 Thursday Night Football Presented by Bud Light schedule today.
The 13-game Thursday Night Football slate of games features 11 FOX games which are scheduled to be simulcast on NFL Network and Amazon Prime Video*, in addition to two NFL Network exclusive games.
The 2019 Thursday Night Football schedule kicks off Week 2 when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the Carolina Panthers on Thursday, September 12 in an NFC South divisional matchup exclusively on NFL Network. All Thursday Night Football games are expected to kick off at 8:20 PM ET.
The 2019 FOX Thursday Night Football schedule begins Week 4 when the Green Bay Packers host the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, September 26. This year marks the second year of the current NFL Thursday Night Football partnership with FOX and Amazon.
Adding to television availability, several streaming options will be available to fans. NFL Network exclusive games will be available through NFL digital properties and on mobile via Yahoo Sports and other Verizon Media properties. FOX Thursday Night Football games will be available to stream on Amazon via Prime Video and Twitch in addition to NFL, FOX and FOX Deportes digital properties across devices.* During the season, fans can learn all of the ways to watch at NFL.com/TNF.
Live game audio of Thursday Night Football will be broadcast nationally by Westwood One, and carried on SiriusXM and the TuneIn app.
In addition to the Thursday Night Football games, NFL Network will televise two International Series games from London (Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6 and Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9) and a Week 16 tripleheader on Saturday, December 21 with matchups to be determined. Kickoff times for Saturday, December 21 are 1:00 PM ET, 4:30 PM ET and 8:15 PM ET, and will feature three of the following five potential matchups: Detroit Lions vs. Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders vs. Los Angeles Chargers, Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers and Houston Texans vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
FOX will produce all 18 games across Thursday Night Football and NFL Network's exclusive games this season, which collectively feature 11 playoff teams from 2018, including the Super Bowl LIII champion New England Patriots.

Renewed Commitment to Get Students Active Through FLAG-IN-SCHOOLS to reach 4,200 New Schools and 2.3 Million Additional Students
NEW YORK April 11, 2019 -- The NFL, USA Football, GENYOUth and Fuel Up to Play 60 announced today the fifth year of the NFL FLAG-In-Schools Program, which aims to increase physical activity among youth by providing FLAG football resources to underserved school communities. Since 2014, the partners' efforts have resulted in 9.1 million students becoming more active before, during and after school through NFL FLAG-In-Schools. During the 2019-2020 school year, nearly 4,200 NFL FLAG Kits will be distributed nationwide, reaching approximately 2.3 million new students. The expansion was made possible by a renewed commitment from the NFL Foundation, amounting to nearly $1.5 million.
There is interest in and demand for high-quality turnkey solutions to engage students in physical education. FLAG-In-Schools is a proven resource for schools and PE teachers, both scalable and sustainable, and inspires students, including boys and girls, to be physically active daily.
"Since 2014, when this ground-breaking partnership was announced between the NFL, USA Football, GENYOUth and Fuel Up to Play 60, we have provided over 16,000 school communities with FLAG Football equipment to equip and engage students in fun physical activity before, during and after school," said GENYOUth CEO ALEXIS GLICK.
"FLAG Football is the fastest growing youth sport across the country. We are proud that we have had a direct impact on the love of the game and the adoption in school communities thanks to the incredible support of the NFL and all 32 NFL teams," Glick added. According to a white paper issued by the Aspen institute, participation among kids 6-12 is up 39 percent, more than any other team sport.
"The NFL is constantly seeking to enhance the football experience for participants as well as fans," said DAWN APONTE, NFL Senior Vice President, Football Operations and Chief Football Administrative Officer. "The NFL FLAG-In-Schools program has provided access and opportunities for participants of all ages and abilities to develop their passion for football while staying active. New for the 2019-2020 school year, high schools nationwide will be invited to apply for kits, with a focus on growing female participation in the game, expanding our reach to a new population of educators and students who are eager for the NFL FLAG-In-Schools equipment and curriculum. The evolution of the existing curriculum will include a female focus with the support of SHAPE America and guidance from USA Football, advancing FLAG-In-Schools nationwide to inspire more young athletes and families to enjoy the fun and fitness of football. USA Football is the sport's national governing body and a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee.

In the coming school year, 100 percent of school-based Boys and Girls Clubs of America will have FLAG-In-Schools kits enabling increased opportunities for students to be physically active after school in addition to the school day.
Plus, this year the program has added online tools and resources for PE teachers and coaches. The NFL FLAG-In-Schools program administered an in-person training for 200 educators at AdventHealth Training Center, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, during SHAPE America's National Convention in Tampa, FL, where more than 5,000 PE teachers are assembling this week.

'Huddle for 100' Kicks Off in Nashville During NFL Draft with 'Huddle Against Hunger'
New York, N.Y. – April 15, 2019 – As part of NFL100, the League is inviting fans, players, clubs and employees to join Huddle for 100, an effort to inspire 1 million people to volunteer 100 minutes of their time to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
"Giving back is part of the fabric of our league," said NFL Commissioner ROGER GOODELL. "From players and Legends, to club and league employees – we have a wide variety of ambassadors working year-round to leave a lasting, indelible impact on the communities in which we live and work. Through Huddle for 100, we hope to rally generations of fans, players, coaches, and the 32 clubs to serve the communities that have supported and sustained us over our first 100 years."
Huddle for 100 includes four types of "huddles":
National Huddles: The NFL will host a series of national huddles during major milestones such as the Draft and the Super Bowl, each with a unique theme focusing on giving back to that community in an impactful way. The League's first national huddle – HUDDLE AGAINST HUNGER – will take place during the 2019 Draft week in Nashville, TN. Huddle Against Hunger will bring together the Titans organization, Draft prospects, players, fans, and community partners for a series of activities including a state-wide food drive and a food packing event. Each activity is centered on fighting hunger and making a lasting impact throughout the state of Tennessee.
Club Huddles: The League will drive a season-long club competition by awarding monthly community-focused prizes to top-ranking clubs based on volunteer minutes—fans are encouraged to boost their favorite team's ranking by volunteering and logging their own minutes using their team's Huddle for 100 hashtag (e.g. #TitansHuddleFor100). All 32 clubs will host huddles throughout the year—addressing a wide variety of causes to bring together communities in the spirit of service. The NFL Foundation will also be making a $5,000 grant available to support each club's efforts around their own huddle. One community-focused grand prize at the end of the season will be awarded to the club with the most volunteer minutes.
DoSomething Huddles: The NFL is also teaming up with DoSomething.org, the largest not-for-profit exclusively for young people and social change in the US, to provide fans from everywhere in the world with volunteer opportunities supporting a wide variety of causes. "Volunteering time and energy to improve the lives of those around you is an incredible effort from the broader NFL community," said CARRIE BLOXSON, CMO and Head of Impact at DoSomething.org. "We're excited to introduce NFL fans to causes that they're passionate about and give them ways to take action."
Personal Huddles: Fans can also participate by volunteering for a cause of their choice and sharing their individual volunteer efforts on social media using #NFLHuddleFor100. Throughout the Huddle for 100 initiative, the League will give participating fans the chance to win a variety of prizes, including game tickets, team gear or a monetary donation to a charity they select when they track their participation on the Huddle for 100 website. Today, the NFL notified Reuben Foster of the Washington Redskins that he will be fined two game checks following a review of recent incidents and an assessment of his adherence to obligations arising from previous violations of league policies. Following a thorough investigation, the evidence did not support a finding that Foster violated the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy in connection with the Tampa incident in November 2018. The NFL has returned Foster to the active roster from the Commissioner Exempt list. He may fully participate in all team activities.
Foster has acknowledged that he is responsible for his actions, and he has committed to a comprehensive accountabilIty plan developed by the league, the NFLPA, and the Washington Redskins to help him grow personally and avoid future misconduct. Foster was advised that any future incidents will likely result in more substantial discipline.

11 helmet models tested this year, six are top-10 rated;
74 percent of players wore top-performing helmets by the end of the 2018 season
NEW YORK – April 12, 2019 – The NFL and NFL Players Association today released the results of their annual laboratory study to assess the performance of helmets worn by NFL players. The results of the tests are displayed on a poster and shared with NFL players, in addition to club medical, training, coaching and equipment staffs to help inform equipment choices.
The tests, designed jointly by NFL and NFLPA-appointed biomechanical engineers, simulate a subset of concussion-causing impacts sustained by NFL players during games to determine which helmets best reduced head impact severity in those conditions. The study continues to measure rotational velocity and acceleration as part of a combined metric to evaluate helmets.
On the 2019 poster, the top-performing helmets in the laboratory testing are shown in a gradient of green, with darker green helmets performing better than lighter green helmets, and helmets in yellow performing worse than the green helmets. None of the 11 helmets tested this year were added to the list of prohibited helmets; however, those on the prohibited list* in 2018 remain as such, and no player will be grandfathered into being able to wear a prohibited helmet this season.
The 2019 helmet poster includes the laboratory testing results for 34 helmet models, including the 11 helmets tested this year. Ninety-nine percent of NFL players wear helmet models tested in this study. Helmets that are listed in grey text on the poster were worn by fewer than 1% of all players. Six of the 11 helmets tested this year are among the top-10 rated models, signaling that industry-driven improvements in design, engineering and technology are yielding better results for reducing head impact severity in the tested conditions. All helmets tested met the current National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE) certification standards to protect players against severe traumatic skull and brain injuries.
After issuing last year's poster, approximately 50% of NFL players upgraded to a better-performing helmet. The percentage of players wearing helmets in the top-performing (green) category increased by one-third to 74% of all players by the end of the 2018 season. Analysis of on-field game concussions for the 2015-2018 seasons showed that players wearing green helmets had a lower rate of reported concussions than those wearing yellow or red helmets. As of the final week of the 2018 season, only 32 players (less than 2% of total players) remained in one of the prohibited helmets.
The tests were conducted by an independent helmet testing laboratory, Biokinetics Inc. of Ottawa, Canada. An independent biostatistician was retained to assist in the analysis of the data. Results were reviewed by NFL Chief Medical Officer Dr. Allen Sills and by NFLPA Medical Director Dr. Thom Mayer.
The experimental design and data analysis were performed by NFL-appointed consultants, including Dr. Jeff Crandall, Director of the Center for Applied Biomechanics at the University of Virginia and Chairman of the NFL Engineering Committee; Dr. Ann Good, Senior Mechanical Engineer for Biocore; and Dr. James Funk, Principal Engineering Consultant and Co-Founder of Biocore and Scientific Coordinator of the NFL Head, Neck, and Spine Engineering Subcommittee. The analysis was done in conjunction with two NFLPA-appointed consultants, Dr. Barry Myers, Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, and Dr. Kristy Arbogast, Co-Scientific Director of the Center for Injury Research and Prevention at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Professor of Pediatrics at University of Pennsylvania. An independent biostatistician, Dr. Timothy McMurry, Assistant Professor of Biomechanics at the University of Virginia's Department of Public Health Sciences, was retained to help with analysis of the data.
Note: The results of this study should not be extrapolated beyond the NFL, including to collegiate, high school or youth football.

This year, all models prohibited in 2018 are displayed on the 2019 poster, including those not tested but produced by companies no longer manufacturing football helmets. New award highlights NFL Legends’ commitment to philanthropy
The NFL Foundation announced the Legends Impact Grant, which recognizes the outstanding and ongoing philanthropic efforts of NFL Legends.
A new component to the NFL Foundation’s Player Foundation Grant initiative, the Award supports NFL Legends’ commitment to making their communities healthy, happy, and safe through their non-profit foundations.
“Philanthropy plays such a large role in NFL players’ lives,” said NFL Executive Director of the NFL Foundation and Senior Director of Philanthropy ALEXIA GALLAGHER. “We are proud to support these incredible NFL Legends who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
NFL Legends ALAN PAGE, BRUCE HARPER and STEVE YOUNG were selected as the inaugural winners, and were awarded $50,000, $40,000 and $30,000, respectively for their foundations. In 2018, the NFL Foundation awarded $830,000 in Player Foundation Grants to support 68 non-profit foundations led by current players and NFL Legends.

23 PROSPECTS TO ATTEND NFL DRAFT
Twenty-three prospects are confirmed to attend the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville, Tennessee, the NFL announced today.
Two colleges – Alabama and Oklahoma – will each have three players in attendance while two schools – Iowa and Louisiana State – will have two players in attendance. The Southeastern Conference leads all conferences with 11 prospects confirmed to attend the event.
The draft begins with the first round on Thursday night, April 25 and continues Friday, April 26 with Rounds 2-3. The draft will conclude on Saturday, April 27 with Rounds 4-7.
The NFL Draft, which was held in Dallas last year, will be hosted in the state of Tennessee for the first time in league history.

2019 PRESEASON SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
The NFL today announced its 65-game preseason schedule, which includes a slate of eight nationally televised games.
The 2019 preseason will kick off on Thursday, August 1 (NBC, 8:00 PM ET) in Canton, Ohio, when the Atlanta Falcons face the Denver Broncos in the NFL/Hall of Fame Game at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
NFL Network will provide extensive coverage of the NFL preseason, including live or re-aired broadcasts of all 65 games.
