NEW YORK, Mar. 6, 2022 – New York Knicks forward Julius Randle has been fined $50,000 for initiating an on-court altercation by forcefully shoving Phoenix Suns forward Cam Johnson, making contact with a game official in his attempt to get at Johnson, and for his noncompliance with an NBA investigation, it was announced today by Byron Spruell, President, League Operations.
The incident, for which Johnson was assessed a technical foul and Randle was assessed two technical fouls and ejected, occurred with 2:40 remaining in the third quarter of the Suns’ 115-114 victory over the Knicks on Mar. 4 at Footprint Center in Phoenix.

CLEVELAND’S BICKERSTAFF FINED
NEW YORK, March 4, 2022 – Cleveland Cavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff has been fined $20,000 for directing inappropriate language toward game officials and for failing to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection, it was announced today by Byron Spruell, President, League Operations.
Bickerstaff received two technical fouls and was ejected with 8:36 remaining in the third quarter of the Cavaliers’ 119-98 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on March 2 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

DAKAR, SENEGAL, March 4, 2022 – The Basketball Africa League (BAL) today announced its roster of broadcast partners for the 2022 BAL season, which will tip off tomorrow, Saturday, March 5 at the Dakar Arena in Dakar, Senegal, and will include stops in Cairo, Egypt and Kigali, Rwanda. The second BAL season will reach fans in 215 countries and territories in 14 languages through free-to-air and paid TV broadcast partnerships with Canal+, ESPN, NBA TV, Tencent Sports, TSN, American Forces Network (AFN) and Voice of America (VOA), and livestreaming on the NBA App, NBA.com and NBA.com/BAL.
In the season opener, Senegal’s Dakar Université Club (DUC) will take on Guinea’s Seydou Legacy Athlétique Club (S.L.A.C) at 12:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. GMT on Canal+, ESPNews and TSN in the first of 38 games taking place across three cities over the next three months. The second BAL Finals will be held Saturday, May 28 at 12:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. GMT on Canal+, ESPNews and TSN.

- For the second consecutive year, Canal+ and ESPN will air every BAL game across Francophone and Anglophone countries and territories in sub-Saharan Africa. Canal+ will also produce and distribute original programming about the league, including an eight-episode magazine show “BAL Action” set to premiere March 5.
- VOA will broadcast 31 games across its extensive radio network in Africa, including select games in English, French, Portuguese, Kinyarwanda and Wolof. New this year, VOA and the BAL will collaborate on additional programming including weekly podcasts from Dakar, Cairo and Kigali beginning March 4 that will air across VOA and BAL online platforms.
- Select free-to-air channels across Africa will air BAL games throughout the season.
- In the U.S., the opening game and Finals will air on ESPNews, with all the remaining games available on ESPN+.
- ESPN will air the opening game and Finals in select countries in Asia-Pacific, the Caribbean and Latin America, and all BAL games will air on ESPN’s digital platforms in the same regions.
- BAL games and programming will be available in Canada on TSN and in China on Tencent Sports.
- AFN, which is distributed to U.S. military bases and ships at sea in 167 countries and territories, will air select games live and on delay throughout the season.
- NBA TV will broadcast all 38 games live or on delay in the U.S. and around the world.
- For the second consecutive year, every BAL game will livestream on the NBA App, NBA.com and NBA.com/BAL.

NEW YORK, March 3, 2022 – The WNBA today announced that the league’s 26th regular season, set to tip off on Friday, May 6, will be highlighted by 25 national broadcasts during the regular season across ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2. During the upcoming season, the WNBA will partner with Google and Disney Networks to present up to a possible 52 games beginning with the regular season and extending through the recently-expanded postseason, which would include up to 27 games.
The complete television and streaming schedule, including a combined 40 games on CBS Television Network and CBS Sports Network, as well as additional offerings from NBA TV, Prime Video, and Facebook Watch will be unveiled at a later date.

The ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 broadcast schedule gets underway on Saturday, May 7, when reigning Kia WNBA MVP Jonquel Jones and fellow 2021 All-Stars DeWanna Bonner and Brionna Jones lead the Connecticut Sun into New York to take on the Liberty, led by Betnijah Laney, a 2021 All-Star, Sabrina Ionescu, the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2020, and Michaela Onyenwere, the 2021 Kia WNBA Rookie of the Year (ESPN, 6 p.m. ET).

The league’s opening weekend also includes a star-studded ESPN2 doubleheader on Sunday, May 8. Action tips off when the Washington Mystics, owners of the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft presented by State Farm, visit the Minnesota Lynx and two-time WNBA Finals MVP and 2021 Kia WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Sylvia Fowles, who will be playing her 15th and final season in the WNBA (8 p.m. ET). Following that game, the action shifts to Las Vegas where the Seattle Storm, featuring Sue Bird, the league’s all-time assists leader and 12-time All-Star selection entering her 19th active season, and Jewell Loyd, a three-time WNBA All-Star, visit the Aces, who are under the direction of new Head Coach Becky Hammon and led by two-time All-Star and 2020 Kia WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson (10 p.m. ET).
Other Highlights of the ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 Broadcast Schedule:
· A WNBA record-tying high nine regular-season games are slated for broadcast on ABC, including the presentation of doubleheaders on each of the final two weekends of the regular season when teams will be vying for playoff contention and positioning. In addition, five games will air on ESPN and 10 on ESPN2.
· Two teams with a quartet of 2021 All-Stars on their respective rosters – Connecticut with Bonner, Brionna Jones, Jonquel Jones, and Courtney Williams, and the Phoenix Mercury, with Skylar Diggins-Smith, Brittney Griner, Diana Taurasi, and free agent signee Tina Charles – will each appear on ESPN networks eight times.
· Making six appearances each will be the defending champion Chicago Sky, which returns its starting five from Game 4 of the 2021 Finals presented by YouTube TV (Kahleah Copper, Candace Parker, Allie Quigley, Azurá Stevens and Courtney Vandersloot); Las Vegas, led by its three No. 1 overall draft picks (Wilson, Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young) and four-time All-Star Chelsea Gray; and Seattle, which features Bird, Loyd and Breanna Stewart, a two-time Finals MVP, in search of what would be that franchise’s WNBA record-breaking fifth title.
· Chicago and Phoenix, whose rivalry took root during the 2021 WNBA Finals presented by YouTube TV, will meet three times across the ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 networks. The Sky and Mercury will first meet on Tuesday, May 31 in Chicago in a game featuring former Finals MVPs Copper, Parker, and Emma Meesseman of Chicago, and Taurasi of Phoenix, who’ll be joined by seven-time All-Star Griner (ESPN2, 8 p.m. ET). ESPN will present the two teams again on Saturday, July 2, when they square off in Chicago (1 p.m. ET), and ABC will broadcast their final matchup from Phoenix on the last day of the regular season, Aug. 14 (ABC, 3 p.m. ET).
- Bird, Fowles, and Taurasi, the league’s career leaders in assists, rebounds, and points, respectively, will be involved in a pair of head-to-head matchups, first when Bird and the Storm meets Taurasi’s Mercury on Saturday, May 14 (ABC, 3 p.m. ET) and when Fowles’ Lynx face Bird’s Storm on Tuesday, June 14 (ESPN2, 9 p.m. ET).
- On Monday, July 4, the Los Angeles Sparks, with a revamped roster featuring newly acquired Liz Cambage, a two-time All-WNBA pick, and with returning veteran and 2016 MVP Nneka Ogwumike, host the Mercury (ESPN, 7 p.m. ET).
- AT&T WNBA All-Star 2022 will take place on Sunday, July 10.
- All ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPNEWS telecasts during the regular season and postseason will stream live on the ESPN app.
The 2022 regular season will feature a record-high 36 games per team, providing fans greater opportunities to see the best players in the world compete at the highest level. Year two of Commissioner’s Cup presented by Coinbase play also brings added incentive to the first half of the season for players and teams while offering fans conference rivalry competition through which to support their favorite teams.
At the conclusion of the 2022 regular season on Sunday, Aug. 14, the WNBA will implement its new postseason format announced in November. As part of its ongoing commitment to increase visibility and coverage of women's sports, Google, a WNBA Changemaker and Presenting Partner of the WNBA Playoffs, and Disney will once again collaborate with the WNBA to broadcast additional games. Wall to wall coverage of the WNBA Playoffs presented by Google and the WNBA Finals presented by YouTube TV will feature up to a record 27 nationally-televised playoff games broadcast across ABC and ESPN networks.

GEN.G TIGERS OF SHANGHAI SELECT JAIDEN “GALLOOTTR” FRANK WITH NO. 1 OVERALL PICK IN 2022 NBA 2K LEAGUE DRAFT
NEW YORK, Feb. 26, 2022 – The 2022 NBA 2K League Draft was held virtually tonight and livestreamed on the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels. During the three-round draft, the 24 NBA 2K League teams selected 52 players to complete their five-person rosters ahead of the league’s fifth anniversary season. Competition will commence on Wednesday, March 23 with the Coinbase NBA2KL 3v3 SLAM OPEN amateur qualifying event.
With the No. 1 overall pick, the Gen.G Tigers of Shanghai selected Jaiden “galloOTTR” Frank of DeSoto, Texas. Bucks Gaming selected Michael “Cooks” Campbell of Brooklyn, N.Y. with the second pick. With the third pick, Mavs Gaming chose Kenneth Grant “KennyZeus” Strombeck of Wake Forest, N.C.
The 2022 draft pool consisted of 145 players. In addition to unretained players from last season, the draft pool also included top‑performing players who earned draft eligibility as part of the “NBA 2K League Draft Prospect Series,” Sony Scouting Grounds tournaments, the NBA 2K League’s Women in Gaming initiative, or the NBA 2K League’s APAC and European Invitationals, or by being identified by the NBA 2K League and its teams based on their play in the 2K community.
A number of NBA 2K League teams will live and train out of Indianapolis during the 2022 season. The league will provide practice facilities at the NBA 2K League Studio and create unique behind-the-scenes content around the teams living in Indianapolis. Teams not living in Indianapolis will continue to train and play remote games out of their team facilities and travel to Indianapolis for in-person games. NEW YORK, Feb. 25, 2022 – Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler has been fined $25,000 for violating league rules governing media interview access and for his noncompliance with the resulting NBA investigation. This results from Butler’s failure to comply with his media availability obligations during NBA All-Star 2022, including following the game on Sunday night.

Los próximos partidos de los Grises de Humacao serán el miércoles 23 de febrero, cuando se enfrentan a Mulos de Juncos en el Coliseo Emilio E. Huyke de Humacao; el 8 de marzo los Grises visitan a los Mulos de Juncos y el 10 de marzo los Laguneros de Trujillo Alto llegan a la Ciudad Gris, todos los partidos a partir de la 8:00 de la noche.

Remorsefully, I will not be able to play in tonight’s All-Star Game due to an upper respiratory illness (non-COVID-related). The entire All-Star weekend is a celebration of the basketball community, the fans and the sport I am blessed to play. I’m focused on getting well and back out on the court. Thank you for all the get-well wishes. I can’t wait to see the game later today.”
