VALIANT VICTORIES: The DALLAS COWBOYS defeated Minnesota 17-15 on Thursday night andbecame the first team in the NFL to clinch a postseason berth after Washington’s 31-23 loss at Arizona on Sunday.

Dallas’ victory marked their 11th consecutive win, tying the longest winning streak in franchise history. The Cowboys previously won 11 consecutive games spanning the 1968 and 1969 regular seasons.

The NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS defeated Los Angeles 26-10 to improve to 10-2, marking the club’s 14th consecutive season with at least 10 wins, the second-longest streak of 10-win seasons in NFL history. Only the 1983-1998 San Francisco 49ers (16) had more consecutive 10-win seasons.

Patriots quarterback TOM BRADY passed for 269 yards and a touchdown in the victory, which was his 201st career win (including the postseason) as a starting quarterback. Brady’s 201 overall victories are the most by a starting quarterback in NFL history.

MARVELOUS MONDAY: Indianapolis tight end DWAYNE ALLEN had three touchdown receptions in the first half of the Colts’ 41-10 win at the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.

NFL REGULAR SEASON ENTERS FINAL QUARTER

There are only four games remaining in the regular season to decide who advances to the playoffs for a shot at a trip to Super Bowl LI.

As the NFL enters the final quarter of the regular season, there are 19 teams either in or within one game of a playoff spot.

Entering Week 14, only one team – the Dallas Cowboys (11-1) – has clinched a spot in the 2016 playoff field. The Cowboys, who have secured at least a playoff berth, can win the NFC East division title with a win at the New York Giants on Sunday night. The Cowboys can also clinch a first-round bye with a win and either a Detroit loss or a Seattle loss. And Dallas can lock up the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC with a win and losses by both Detroit and Seattle.

Two other divisions can be clinched in Week 14. The New England Patriots (10-2), who have won at least 10 games in 14 consecutive seasons, can secure the AFC East with a win and a Miami loss. The Patriots can also claim a first-round bye with a win and losses by both Miami and Pittsburgh. The Seattle Seahawks (8-3-1), who are seeking their fifth consecutive postseason berth, can lock up the NFC West division title with a win and an Arizona loss.

The Oakland Raiders (10-2) can clinch a playoff berth with a win over Kansas City on Thursday night and a loss by either Miami or Denver.

Week 14 begins on Thursday night (8:25 PM ET, NBC/NFLN/Twitter) with an important AFC West contest as the Kansas City Chiefs (9-3) host the first-place Raiders (10-2). The Chiefs have won seven of their past eight games while Oakland enters the contest on a six-game winning streak.

The week concludes with a pair of primetime contests with playoff implications. On Sunday night (8:30 PM ET, NBC), the Cowboys (11-1) visit the New York Giants (8-4). Dallas, which has won 11 consecutive games, has already secured a playoff berth and will clinch the division title with a victory. The Giants, who handed the Cowboys their only loss this season (20-19 in Week 1), are currently in position for the NFC’s first Wild Card spot.

On Monday night (8:30 PM ET, ESPN), the Patriots (10-2) host the Baltimore Ravens (7-5). New England can clinch the AFC East division title for the eighth consecutive season with a win and a Miami loss, which would be the longest streak of division titles in NFL history. Baltimore has won four of its past five games and enters Week 14 tied with Pittsburgh for first place in the AFC North.

OAKLAND RAIDERS (10-2) at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (9-3) (Thursday, NBC/NFLN/Twitter, 8:25 PM ET)

The Raiders, who can clinch a playoff berth with a win and either a Miami loss or a Denver loss, have won six games in a row, including last week’s 38-24 come-from-behind victory over Buffalo. Oakland trailed by 15 points in the second half before rallying to score the game’s final 29 points. QuarterbackDEREK CARR has 11 touchdown passes and one interception in the fourth quarter and overtime this season. Defensive end KHALIL MACK is the only player in the NFL this season with at least 10 sacks (10) and an interception (one).

The Chiefs have won seven of their past eight games, including last week’s 29-28 comeback win at Atlanta. Safety ERIC BERRY intercepted a two-point conversion attempt and returned it for the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter, the first game-winning defensive two-point conversion scored when his team was trailing. Berry also returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown and is the first player in NFL history to return an interception for both a touchdown and a two-point conversion in the same game.

HOUSTON TEXANS (6-6) at INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (6-6) (Sunday, CBS, 1:00 PM ET)

The Texans are tied with Indianapolis and Tennessee for first place in the AFC South. Houston has won eight consecutive division games, including the past two meetings between the clubs. In Week 6, running back LAMAR MILLER rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown in the Texans’ 26-23 overtime victory over the Colts.
The Colts, whose win on Monday night moved them into a first-place tie with Houston and Tennessee in the division, are 13-1 all-time at home against the Texans. Quarterback ANDREW LUCK has won nine consecutive starts at home against division opponents, including a 3-0 mark against Houston. Luck threw four touchdown passes, including three to tight end DWAYNE ALLEN, in last week’s 41-10 win at the New York Jets.

DENVER BRONCOS (8-4) at TENNESSEE TITANS (6-6) (Sunday, CBS, 1:00 PM ET)

The Broncos currently hold one of the AFC’s two Wild Card berths with four games left to play. The Titans, who had a bye in Week 13, are tied with Houston and Indianapolis for first place in the AFC South. The Seahawks can clinch the NFC West with a win and an Arizona loss. Seattle defeated Carolina 40-7 last week and rushed for 240 yards, led by running back THOMAS RAWLS (106 yards, two touchdowns) and wide receiver TYLER LOCKETT (75-yard touchdown run). The Seahawks lead the NFL allowing 16.2 points per game.
The Packers defeated Houston 21-13 last week at Lambeau Field. Quarterback AARON RODGERS, who threw two touchdown passes in the victory, has won 14 consecutive December home games, the second-longest streak in NFL history. During that span, Rodgers has thrown 34 touchdowns with four interceptions for a 116.2 passer rating.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (5-7) at TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (7-5) (Sunday, FOX, 4:25 PM ET)

The Saints play three of their final four games against division opponents, including two meetings with the Buccaneers. Quarterback DREW BREES leads the NFL in passing yards (3,913), touchdown passes (30), completions (357), attempts (500) and completion percentage (71.4).

The Buccaneers have won four consecutive games and are tied with Atlanta for first place in the NFC South. Tampa Bay knocked off San Diego 28-21 last week as quarterback JAMEIS WINSTON threw a touchdown pass, running back DOUG MARTIN rushed for a TD and linebacker LAVONTE DAVIDreturned an interception for a score.

DALLAS COWBOYS (11-1) at NEW YORK GIANTS (8-4) (Sunday, NBC, 8:30 PM ET)

The Cowboys have won 11 consecutive games and are the only team in the NFL to clinch a playoff berth. Dallas can win the NFC East with a win at New York and, with help from other scenarios, could secure a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs this weekend. Quarterback DAK PRESCOTT is the first rookie in NFL history to throw at least one touchdown pass without an interception in five consecutive games. Rookie running back EZEKIEL ELLIOTT leads the NFL with 1,285 rushing yards and ranks second in the league with 12 rushing TDs.

The Giants have won six of their past seven games and currently hold one of the NFC’s two Wild Card berths. New York is the only team to defeat the Cowboys this season, winning at Dallas (20-19) in Week 1. Safety LANDON COLLINS, who leads the team with 94 tackles, is the only player in the NFL with at least three sacks (three) and three interceptions (five).

BALTIMORE RAVENS (7-5) at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (10-2) (Monday, ESPN, 8:30 PM ET)

The Ravens enter Week 14 tied with Pittsburgh for first place in the AFC North. Baltimore has won two games in a row and four of their past five contests. Last week, quarterback JOE FLACCO passed for 381 yards and four touchdowns in the Ravens’ 38-6 win over Miami.

The Patriots have reached 10 wins for the 14th consecutive season, the second-longest streak in NFL history. Last week, New England defeated Los Angeles 26-10 as quarterback TOM BRADY won his 201st career start (including the postseason), the most victories by a starting QB in NFL history. With a victory and a Miami loss, the Patriots will become the first team in NFL history to win eight consecutive division titles.

LA TEMPORADA REGULAR DE LA NFL INGRESA EN SU ÚLTIMA CUARTA PARTE

Quedan apenas cuatro partidos por jugarse en la temporada regular para ver quién clasifica a la postemporada para tener una oportunidad de conseguir un boleto para el Super Bowl LI.

Cuando la NFL ingresa en la última cuarta parte de la temporada regular, hay 19 equipos que están clasificando o bien permanecen a un juego de lograr una potencial clasificación a la postemporada.

Ingresando en la decimocuarta semana, solamente un equipo –los Dallas Cowboys (11-1)– se aseguraron una plaza en la postemporada 2016. Los Cowboys, que ya se aseguraron la clasificación, pueden ganar el título divisional de la NFC Este con una victoria en su visita a los New York Giants el domingo por la noche. Los Cowboys pueden también amarrar la posibilidad de quedar libre en la primera vuelta con una victoria y tanto una derrota de Detroit o una caída de Seattle. Y Dallas puede conseguir la preclasificación Nº 1 total en la NFC con un triunfo y derrotas tanto de Detroit como de Seattle.

Otras dos divisiones pueden quedar definidas en la decimocuarta semana. Los New England Patriots (10-2), que ganaron al menos 10 juegos en 14 temporadas consecutivas, pueden asegurarse la AFC Este con una victoria y una derrota de Miami. Los Patriots pueden también conseguir la posibilidad de quedar libre en primera vuelta con una victoria y derrotas tanto de Miami como de Pittsburgh. Los Seattle Seahawks (8-3-1), que están procurando su quinta clasificación a la postemporada consecutiva, pueden alzarse con el título divisional de la NFC Oeste con un triunfo y una derrota de Arizona.

Los Oakland Raiders (10-2) pueden asegurarse una plaza en la postemporada con una victoria sobre Kansas City el jueves por la noche y una derrota de Miami o de Denver.

La decimocuarta semana comienza el jueves por la noche (8:25 PM, hora de New York, NBC/NFLN/Twitter) con un importante duelo de la AFC Oeste en el que los Kansas City Chiefs (9-3) reciben a los líderes Raiders (10-2). Los Chiefs ganaron siete de sus últimos ocho juegos mientras que Oakland llega al enfrentamiento en una racha ganadora de seis partidos.

La semana concluye con un par de duelos en horario central con implicancias de postemporada. El domingo por la noche (8:30 PM, hora de New York, NBC), los Cowboys (11-1) visitan a los New York Giants (8-4). OAKLAND RAIDERS (10-2) en KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (9-3) (Jueves, NBC/NFLN/Twitter, 8:25 PM, hora de New York)

Los Chiefs ganaron siete de sus últimos ocho juegos, incluyendo el triunfo resurgente 29-28 de la semana pasada en Atlanta. El profundo ERIC BERRY interceptó un intento de conversión de dos puntos y lo devolvió para la anotación de la ventaja en el último período, jugada que significó la primera conversión de dos puntos defensiva que define un partido cuando su equipo estaba en desventaja. Berry también devolvió una intercepción 37 yardas hasta la anotación y es el primer jugador en la historia de la NFL en regresar dos intercepciones tanto hasta la anotación como también para una conversión de dos puntos en el mismo partido.

HOUSTON TEXANS (6-6) en INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (6-6) (Domingo, CBS, 1:00 PM, hora de New York)

Los Texans están empatados con Indianapolis y Tennessee en el primer puesto de la AFC Sur. Houston ganó ocho juegos divisionales consecutivos, incluyendo los últimos dos encuentros entre los clubes. Luck lanzó cuatro pases anotadores, incluyendo tres al ala cerrada DWAYNE ALLEN, en el triunfo de la semana pasada 41-10 visitando a los New York Jets.

DENVER BRONCOS (8-4) en TENNESSEE TITANS (6-6) (Domingo, CBS, 1:00 PM, hora de New York)

Los Broncos actualmente tienen una de las dos plazas de Comodines de la AFC con cuatro juegos por jugarse. La semana pasada, el esquinero BRADLEY ROBY tuvo una anotación de 51 yardas mediante retorno de intercepción –su segunda anotación mediante retorno de intercepción esta temporada– en el triunfo de Denver 20-10 en Jacksonville. El apoyador VON MILLER lidera la NFL con 12.5 capturas.
Los Titans, que tuvieron semana de descanso en la decimotercera, están empatados con Houston e Indianapolis en el primer puesto de la AFC Sur. El mariscal de campo MARCUS MARIOTA, que fue nombrado Jugador ofensivo de la AFC del mes en noviembre, lanzó pases anotadores múltiples en ocho partidos consecutivos, totalizando 21 anotaciones, tres intercepciones y un índice de pasador de 117.7 durante ese lapso.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (8-3-1) en GREEN BAY PACKERS (6-6) (Domingo, FOX, 4:25 PM, hora de New York)

Los Seahawks pueden asegurarse la NFC Oeste con una victoria y una derrota de Arizona. Los Cowboys ganaron 11 partidos consecutivos y son el único equipo en la NFL en asegurarse una plaza en la postemporada. Dallas puede ganar la NFC Este con una victoria en New York y, con ayuda de otros panoramas, este fin de semana podría asegurarse el hecho de quedar libre en primera vuelta y la ventaja de localía a lo largo de la postemporada de la NFC. El mariscal de campo DAK PRESCOTT es el primer novato en la historia de la NFL en lanzar al menos un pase anotador sin intercepción alguna en cinco juegos consecutivos. El corredor novatoEZEKIEL ELLIOTT lidera la NFL con 1,285 yardas por tierra y se ubica segundo en la liga con 12 acarreos anotadores.
Los Giants ganaron seis de sus últimos siete juegos y actualmente ostenta una de las dos plazas de Comodines de la NFC. New York es el único equipo que derrotó a los Cowboys esta temporada, ganándoles en Dallas (20-19) en la primera semana. El profundo LANDON COLLINS, que lidera al equipo con 94 tacleadas, es el único jugador de la NFL con al menos tres capturas (tres) y tres intercepciones (cinco).

BALTIMORE RAVENS (7-5) en NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (10-2) (Lunes, ESPN, 8:30 PM, hora de New York)

Los Ravens llegan a la decimocuarta semana empatados con Pittsburgh en el primer puesto de la AFC Norte. Baltimore ganó dos juegos en línea y cuatro de sus últimos cinco duelos. La semana pasada, el mariscal de campo JOE FLACCO lanzó 381 yardas y cuatro anotaciones en el triunfo de los Ravens 38-6 sobre Miami.
Los Patriots alcanzaron 10 victorias por 14 temporadas consecutivas, la segunda racha más larga en la historia de la NFL. La semana pasada, New England derrotó a Los Angeles 26-10 cuando el mariscal de campo TOM BRADY logró el 201º triunfo de su carrera como titular (incluyendo postemporada), la mayor cantidad de victorias por un mariscal de campo titular en la historia de la NFL.
