looks to extend his historic reign over the talented 205-pound division Saturday, Sept. 27 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas when he takes on bitter rival and No. 2 contender
Daniel Cormier. Jones will look to make
his record eighth light heavyweight title defense against the two-time U.S. Olympian Cormier.
The bad blood between
Jones
(20-1, fighting out of Endicott, N.Y.) and Cormier (15-0, fighting out
of San Jose, Calif.) has brewed for months with the two trading heated
words in the press. The talk comes
to an end in Las Vegas next month in one of the most anticipated title
fights of the year!

(15-2, fighting out of Dublin, Ireland) will meet sixth-ranked
Dustin Poirier

fighting out of Coconut Creek, Fla.) in a featherweight showdown that

CARLOS JUAREZ JOINS ULTIMATE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP AS
VICE PRESIDENT, SPANISH LANGUAGE PRODUCTION
Las Vegas, Nev. ‒ The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC®) is pleased to announce that Carlos Juarez has joined the company as Vice President, Spanish Language Production. In his role, Juarez will oversee all Spanish-language productions and direct overall content execution from inception to delivery. He will also be responsible for all domestic and international studio television and digital production, as well as live and taped Pay-Per-View and television shows.
“The UFC has some of the most passionate fans in all of sports and I am excited to help the company continue to develop exclusive content and programming for our Spanish-speaking fans,” Juarez said. “As the UFC continues to expand throughout Latin America, producing programming and content for our Spanish-speaking viewers is essential to the UFC’s growth throughout the region.”
With over a decade of production experience, Juarez has also directed and produced programming for FOX Soccer Channel and FOX Sports Español that included UEFA Champions League, English Premier League, Major League Soccer, Major League Baseball, and National Football League telecasts. Prior to joining the UFC, Juarez worked for FOX Networks and Engineering as Director of Production, in charge of a production facility and various crews coordinating with FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2, FOX Deportes, and MundoFOX.
